Distributor of Bespoke Frames

Our customer in Scotland required larger premises due to growth. This required a number of bespoke workbenches.

Background

The customer found Benchmaster online and requested a site visit due to the workbenches being bespoke and potential issues with the floor. The customer had not found anything online so far, so our Operations Manager went to Scotland to discuss different options, measured up and provided a plan/quote. This was signed off and agreed by the customer within a couple of days. Benchmaster had a tight timescale to work to, which included manufacturing the workbenches and also installation on site.

The Order

2 x MDF top moulding box trolleys – 2400mm long x 1000mm deep x 1000mm high on castors.

5 x MDF top finishing workbenches – 2000mm long x 1200mm deep x 900mm high came with a 4 drawer unit right hand side.

1 x MDF top bespoke Workbench – 2000mm long x 1200mm deep x 960mm high, single drawer left hand side, single drawer right hand side and an MDF middle shelf.

1 x MDF top bespoke Workbench – 2000mm long x 1200mm deep x 960mm high, single drawer left hand side, single drawer right hand side and an MDF bottom shelf.

6 x MDF top mounting bench with 10 slots – 2000mm long x 1250mm deep x 1040mm high. 5 of the mounting benches had 10 openings to accommodate customer requirements.

5 x MDF top customer framing storage – 1200mm long x 1200mm deep x 980mm high and 3 MDF shelves.

3 x MDF top finishing pre framing – 2000mm long x 900mm deep x 980mm high and 4 drawer unit right hand side. There were 3 openings at 226mm deep to accommodate daily dispatches

2 x MDF top Packing workbench – 2000mm long x 900mm deep x 900mm high with 1 x roll, MDF upper shelf, MDF lower shelf and single drawer located on the right-hand side.

1 x MDF top medium duty workbench – 2000mm long x 1000mm deep x 900mm high.

The Result

Benchmaster manufactured a 12-metre run for the mounting bench, which had a 140mm level rise over the length. The stretcher rail was moved to the back to accommodate the MDF slots. Benchmaster had a further 6-metre run for the customer framing storage benches, which had a 70mm rise over the length. The finishing pre framing benches covered a 6-metre run with a 70mm rise over the length.

The customer required specific frame colours to match their brand livery with contrasting accessories (RAL6018) Benchmaster arranged for colour swatches to be sent to the customer for sign off before the work commenced.
