ENGINEERING COMPANY REQUIRES RE-FIT

Benchmaster supported a leading engineering company producing motors, drives, gearboxes and power transmissions.

Background

The leading engineering company invested heavily in stock and machinery. Due to growth the engineering company required a number of workbenches and trolleys to be delivered to their workshop over a number of years. Meanwhile the engineering company opened up a new workshop in Bolton that required a complete re-fit of workbenches. Most of these needed to be bespoke to match different requirements for the business. The Operations Manager from the engineering company visited Benchmaster to discuss these bespoke requirements. After the visit a plan was put together to manufacturer and delivery within a specific timescale.

The Order

2 x 1050ST. – 1000mm long x 500mm deep x 840mm high 2mm galvanised top tool trolley. Blue frame (RAL5010) bottom shelf and castors.

3 x 2090WSC. – 2000mm long x 900mm deep x 840mm 2mm galvanised over 45mm solid wood super heavy duty workbench. Blue frame (RAL5010) cupboard left hand side, cupboard right hand side. Galvanised steel bottom shelf with a rubber mat and a 4” vice.

1 x 1590WS. – 1500mm long x 900mm deep x 840mm high 2mm galvanised over 45mm solid wood super heavy duty workbench with a blue frame (RAL5010) support bar, 3 louvre panels, galvanised steel bottom shelf and rubber mat.

3 x 2090WS. – 1500mm long x 900mm deep x 840mm high 2mm galvanised over 45mm solid wood super heavy duty workbench with a blue frame (RAL5010) and rubber mat.

1 x HDSPECIAL. – 900mm long x 300mm deep x 1900mm high 2mm steel top heavy duty workbench with a blue frame (RAL5010) 4 x flush fit shelves 280mm, 850mm, 1600mm and 1900mm high. All shelves with 3mm black rubber.

5 x HDSPECIAL. – 2300mm long x 850mm deep x 950mm high 2mm galvanised steel top heavy duty workbench with a blue frame (RAL5010) light rail, 48W LED light, bottom shelf and 7” vice.

1 x HDSPECIAL. – 2300mm long x 1100mm deep x 950mm high 2mm galvanised steel top over 45mm solid wood super heavy duty workbench with a blue frame (RAL5010) and bottom shelf.

1 x MDSPECIAL. – 2300mm long x 1100mm deep x 900mm high 2mm galvanised steel over 45mm solid wood top medium duty workbench with a blue frame, Steel bottom shelf 5 inches from worktop, single drawer left and right hand side (dark grey) 3 x separate removable bars with 12 brackets and all metal levelling feet.

The Result

The workbenches are robust and help with the type of work being carried out. To addition the colour of the frames on the workbenches and trolleys is the same colour as the cooperate branding. To sum up the range of accessories purchased such as lights and vices meant the operators work on 1 station at all times. This saved time moving from station to station to complete a job.
